Climate literacy, one classroom at a time.

Our Goal
We hope to provide every kid in the tri-state area with access to high-quality climate education, working alongside educators and legislators to permanently integrate it into school curricula.
We are Hazel and Salome,
two high school seniors passionate about climate literacy and equitable education. We founded the Little Environmentalists Society in 2023 to bridge the gap between what young students currently know and what future climate leaders need to understand.
By conducting interactive workshops in schools and community centers throughout New York City and New Jersey, we equip students with the knowledge and tools necessary to enact sustainable change.

The Problem
In the US, more than 85% of parents and teachers support climate change education. Yet, only about ⅓ of kids say they are well-educated about what the climate crisis is. This is what we are working to change.
